Actually I’ve already tried Shaklee while breastfeeding my son, Adam. I tried for a month, then I stopped, since at that time I was too lazy to be consistent with the supplements. Well, 5 tablets is quite a lot, especially if you are like me, who prefers to take everything at one go, or else, I’ll forget or pretend to forget about it altogether. hehehe.
But, despite that short trial, I have to admit that my breastmilk, though there was not much increase in quantity, but it looked thicker, a bit greenish, compared to usual. But then I was taking habbatussauda also as milk booster, and 2 tabs were easier to take than 5 😉
Then, during my second pregnancy, I was looking around for the best ‘confinement set’. I took Amway the first time, so I thought I want to try something else. A few came to mind, like Ibu Hamidah lah, Nona Roguy. A friend also suggested Salindah. But after looking at the medication regime, I thought they’re not for me. What with taking this meds on certain days, and another on certain days. I won’t be able to keep up with the schedule.
So at the end, I decided to take Shaklee. I bought the full pack; Vitalea, Vita C, B Comp, Alfalfa and also Zinc.
I started consuming on the 3rd day, after coming back from hospital. I have to admit, this time I do feel more energetic. After a week, I felt healthier already. Even the nurses that came for home visit commented that I didn’t look like I was in confinement. Yeay!
I was anaemic throughout my pregnancy, but my Hb level picked up pretty quickly. Now when I reflect back, I should’ve taken the vits during pregnancy itself. Silly me, I didn’t think to take it although I got the supplements wayy before my due date. Oh well, maybe Allah had better plan for me then 🙂
And now after 4 months, I am still taking it, and I have no problem with my milk supply. But I will write about that later.
As for now, free promo; if you like to know more about shaklee, do contact me. hehe 😉
